2020 Tulsa LitFest will feature select events ONLINE
Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our community, so we are canceling Tulsa LitFest.
With all of us–and writers, educators, students, and booksellers in particular–facing new challenges, we want to help! So we are exploring the possibility of a limited number of virtual craft talks and presentations, and we will keep you updated on those developments.
In the meantime, take good care of yourselves, and we look forward to seeing you in 2021, with an even bigger and better festival.

Virtual Author Talk: Writers on Greenwood with Lisa E. Wright and Quraysh Ali Lansana
Lisa E. Wright is a writer, PhD candidate at Oklahoma State University, and an Editorial Assistant for Cimarron Review. Her work has been published in Hippocampus Magazine, “The Muslim Journal,” and the 2017 Anthology Oklahoma Writing Project Summer Institute.
Quraysh Ali Lansana is the author of the poetry collections The Skin of Dreams: New and Collected Poems 1995-2018, The Walmart Republic; mystic turf, They Shall Run: Harriet Tubman Poems, and Southside Rain. His chapbooks include reluctant minivan, bloodsoil (sooner red), Greatest Hits: 1995-2005, and cockroach children: corner poems and street psalms. He has also written three children’s books, including A Gift from Greensboro and The Big World. Quraysh is also the editor of eight anthologies and is the last student of Miss Gwendolyn Brooks. He is a Tulsa Artist Fellow, a member of Tri-City Collective, and a faculty member at OSU-Tulsa.
Virtual Workshop: Let’s Make Comics with Literati Press
Let’s Make Comics is a free and open to all ages tutorial on the basics of sequential art led by published comic book creators along with staff from Literati Press Comics & Novels. Page layout templates designed by Natasha Alterici (Heathen) are provided as well as basic drawing materials so that artists can experiment with sequential storytelling.
*We are working on making this workshop virtual-friendly. Updates to come.
