Scott Thomas

October 9, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Magic City Books is proud to welcome Scott Thomas, author of the award winning horror novel Kill Creek, to celebrate his new book, Violet.

Violet is the disturbing tale of a woman haunted by her long-abandoned imaginary friend. Three decades after losing her mother to a long illness, loss returns to Kris Barlow–her husband is killed in a car accident. And so, Kris goes home to the place where she first knew pain–to that summer house overlooking the crystal waters of Lost Lake. It’s there that Kris and her eight-year-old daughter will make a stand against grief. But a shadow has fallen over the quiet lake town of Pacington, Kansas. Beneath its surface, an evil has grown–and inside that home where Kris Barlow last saw her mother, an old friend awaits her return.

Scott Thomas is a native of Coffeyville, Kansas and is a graduate of the University of Kansas. Scott is the Co-Creator/Executive Producer of Disney Channel’s Best Friends Whenever and Disney XD’s Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja. Recently, he co-wrote the MTV horror trilogy My Super Psycho Sweet 16 and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for his work on R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour. He lives in Los Angeles, California, with his wife and two daughters.

Scott will be in conversation with Barron Ryan.

This event is free and open to the public. Violet will be available at Magic City Books starting September 24.
