Gregory Pardlo and Rowan Ricardo Phillips

We’re pleased to welcome to Tulsa two leading voices in contemporary poetry — the Pulitzer Prize winning Gregory Pardlo, and National Book Award finalist Rowan Ricardo Phillips. Pardlo and Phillips are also immensely gifted and acclaimed prose memoirists, critics, and cultural historians — Phillips as the author of The Circuit: A Tennis Odyssey (2018), and Pardlo as the writer of Air Traffic: A Memoir of Ambition and Manhood in America (2018).
The two poets are friends, professional colleagues, and even regular tennis partners, and this night they will be reading from recent work and engaged in a public conversation around their craft, contemporary America, and what continues to inspire them.
