Author and native Oklahoman Brad Lyons joins us to discuss his new book, America’s Holy Ground. This event is co-sponsored and hosted by Harvard Avenue Christian Church, 5502 S. Harvard Avenue.
America’s Holy Ground features inspiring spiritual reflections and nearly 200 breathtaking photos from all of the 61 beloved national parks to help you reconnect with God and the holy on your national park adventure. Each reflection considers a unique trait of each park and how it connects to your own life. Sabbath, Perspective, Beginnings, Connections, Restoration — these are just a few of the themes you’ll explore on this unique national park journey. A scripture verse and several questions to take your experience deeper round out each park entry.
From the ultra-popular Great Smoky Mountains (diversity) to the nearly empty Lake Clark (solitude), you’ll never think about national parks the same way again. Additional journaling pages help you record your own holy moments and make this book a keepsake.
This event is free and open to the public. Copies of America’s Holy Ground will be available for sale at the event and Brad will sign copies after the book discussion.
